A good quality puzzle box or Himitsu-Bako
(personal secret box).

Inlaid to the top with a detailed image of Mount Fuji beyond a landscape with hut, trees and a lake in the foreground.

The sides with a parquetry 'brick' design.

The box with a two-move action opening a spring loaded drawer with 'FUKASESEI' stamped in blue ink to the side.

The traditional Japanese unit of measurement is called a 'sun'. A sun is about 1.22 inches and is a unit of measurement for length only, not width or height. Small puzzle boxes are 1, 2 or 3 sun in size. Medium boxes are 4 sun, and a standard size is 5 sun. Large puzzle boxes are 6 and 7 sun.
